ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
New Mexico’s public health order has been very hard on many businesses, but some said their customers can’t get enough.
Mac’s Steak in the Rough has been around for 70 years. Their recipes haven’t changed, but the demand has.
“We’ve been just so fortunate that the community looks to Mac’s as a place of comfort and we’ve seen an increase in sales,” said LeeAnna Fresquez, owner of Mac’s Steak in the Rough. She said since New Mexico’s public health order has been enforced, business is up more than 50%. “Listening to what the community is asking for, especially during this time, being agile and resilient,” Fresquez said.
